Pricing: (Tab) Overhead style doors range in price from $35-$50 SF depending on design detail including species of wood, glass and type of hardware A typical 9’ x 8’ carriage house door as shown below is $2850.00 unfinished, including commercial grade tracks and a complete kit for overhead operation as well as weather seal for the door perimeter. Also included is a 1/2HP Liftmaster™ brand belt drive operator. Plan on paying an additional $150.00 per door for priming with oil based stain blocking primer (all components are primed prior to assembly).

What about installation?

The 3 door models above are standard in widths of 9 feet and heights of 7-8'. Other dimensions are available upon request and variations on these themes may be made very simply. For example, cross or half bucks may be added or deleted (like the Barn design) and number of windows may be changed based on height or number of door sections (this may be a requirement). Cedar panels may also be constructed in a herringbone design instead of the vertical designs show above.

Ordering a door

We can send, fax or e-mail design sketches from our files. Each design is proportional to the opening of your new or existing door opening (see: “how to measure your garage door”).

Once you approve the design, we send a firm quote including approximate delivery.

To order a door, drawings, measurements and a signed quote must be accompanied by a deposit of 25%. Your doors will put into production and an approximate completion date given. Our terms are 25% with order, 50% prior to shipping and 25% plus shipping cost upon delivery. We pass our shipping discounts along to our customers and make no profit on shipping.

Architects and designers: We can provide drawings in AutoCad format.
